What is Science Fiction?

Most commonly it takes place on Earth or in space and uses real or imagined technology as a part of the storytelling. We like stories in this genre to be lengthy and immersive in its world building with multiple characters and where problem-solving is key to the story's outcome. We are also open for shorter faster-paced books. It may be referred to as alien contact, space opera, colonization, cyberpunk, dying earth. If the story takes place in the future, then at Emerentsia Publications we use futuristic science-fiction as a term. If the story takes place in current time, then at Emerentsia Publications we use near-future science fiction as a term.
